If you are preparing for an English test in Baguio, here is the good news first: you do not have to travel to Manila to take it. The IELTS, the TOEIC, the TOEFL iBT and PTE Academic all have official test centers in the city. This guide covers where each one runs, how often, how booking works, and how to plan the day itself from campus. Everything here was checked against the official pages in September 2026, and schedules change, so always confirm on the booking page before you pay.

IELTS: two providers, the same test
Baguio has two official IELTS providers, and it does not matter which one you choose. IDP and the British Council deliver the same IELTS, marked to the same standard, and the certificate is accepted in exactly the same way. The real differences are the days and the location, so pick whichever fits your calendar.
IDP’s Baguio center is at RA Gapuz, on the lower ground floor of the Decibar Building, 65 A Lower Bonifacio Street. IDP lists tests from Wednesday to Saturday, for Academic, General Training and the UKVI versions, and says computer results come back in one to five days.
The British Council runs its Baguio IELTS at Pines International Academy on Villamor Street, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with the UKVI version on Sundays. Since 21 June 2026, every British Council IELTS in the Philippines is taken on a computer.
Not sure which test you need at all? Our test chooser asks two questions and points you to the usual one. If you are deciding between IELTS and another test, TOEFL or IELTS: which test to take walks through the choice, and what is IELTS explains the format.
TOEIC: once a month, so plan ahead
The TOEIC is run in the Philippines by Hopkins International, the official representative of ETS, the organization behind the test. Public sessions of TOEIC Listening and Reading are held once a month in three places: Makati, Cebu and Baguio. The Baguio sessions take place at Pines International Academy on Villamor Street.
The detail that catches people out is the deadline. Registration closes on a Wednesday one week before the test, which is about ten days ahead. Miss it and the next session is a month away, which matters a lot on a short course. If you are studying for the TOEIC here, look up the session dates in your first week and work backward from there. What is TOEIC covers the format, and raising your TOEIC score is about the preparation itself.
The test that runs least often decides your calendar. For most students here, that is the TOEIC.
TOEFL iBT: an official center in town
EPro Training Centre is certified by ETS as an official TOEFL iBT test center. It is on the third floor of the BSUCMPC Building on Bonifacio Street, the blue building across from the main gate of Saint Louis University. Its published calendar for late 2026 shows a test roughly every two to four weeks, and seats are given on a first come, first served basis, so book as soon as you know your date.
ETS also offers the TOEFL iBT Home Edition, taken on your own computer. It comes with strict rules about the room, the camera and the connection, and a shared dormitory room is not an easy fit for them. For most students here, the test center is the simpler choice. What is TOEFL explains the test and who asks for it.
PTE Academic: the only center in the north
PTE Academic is taken at Pearson VUE test centers, and Baguio has one at the University of Baguio on General Luna Road. The university describes it as the only PTE test site in Luzon outside Metro Manila, so students here are spared the trip south.
Booking is done directly with Pearson on the official PTE website, where the available dates and the current fee for the Baguio center are shown. PTE is often chosen for Australian visas and study, and our post on the Pearson Test of English and what is PTE both go into why.
Planning test day from campus
Our campus is in Irisan, on the quieter western side of the city, and every test center above is in or near the downtown area. That is not a problem, but it does mean test day needs a plan the day before, not the morning of.
- Arrange your ride early. There is no fixed shuttle timetable. An ordinary trip in the academy van is booked through the office with notice, so ask when you book your test, not on the day. Something urgent needs no booking, but a test date is the opposite of a surprise.
- Tell your manager and your teachers. A test usually means missing classes, and they can adjust the day around it.
- Bring your passport. Foreign candidates should expect to need it for every one of these tests. Check the exact ID rule on your booking confirmation.
- Leave room for traffic. Mornings in Baguio can be slow, and arriving late can mean not being allowed in.
One more habit that helps: book the test for the last week or two of your course, not the very last day. It gives you the most preparation time and still leaves room to rebook if something goes wrong. 在碧瑤留學 has more about getting around the city.
Preparing here, testing here
The advantage of taking your test in the same city where you study is simple. You prepare with your teachers right up to test week, and you sit the test without a long journey the day before. Our test preparation courses cover IELTS, TOEIC, TOEFL and PTE, and the guarantee courses are for students with a target score and a deadline. You can see real results from students who prepared here on the results page.
